Item Description
11x17" offset print on thin stock produced before the show for promotion. Signed in pencil at lower right by artist Mike King. Illustrated in King, Herring & Gore authored book Maximum Plunder on p. 183. By 1995 alternative rock had gained mainstream acceptance and veterans of the genre Sonic Youth had released their ninth studio album Washing Machine less than two months before this gig. The Amps featured Kim Deal of Pixies & Breeders fame. Bikini Kill, the influential Riot Grrl band from Olympia, WA featured vocalist Kathleen Hanna, bassist Kathi Wilcox, guitarist Billy Karren and drummer Tobi Vail (who coined the spelling of "Grrl" in "Riot Grrl" and also influenced the writing of generational anthem Smells Like Teen Spirit during her relationship w/Nirvana's Kurt Cobain).
