Item Description
11x17" offset print on white stock produced before the show for promotion. Signed in pencil at lower right by artist Mike King. There is some confusion about the artist of this poster w/Steven Birch, who worked together w/King at Crash Designs, sometimes credited and likely the source. Advertising a concert "Sat. July 22" at "Moore Theater" in Seattle, WA. Staple holes in corners, scattered minor handling wear and faint even age toning. Technically Fine but displaying above grade. The Pixies sophomore album Doolittle was released only three months before this gig. The album is now regarded among the most influential of the '80s college rock era. The Screaming Trees, a pioneering grunge band from Ellensburg, WA fronted by singer Mark Lanegan, were supporting their fourth studio album Buzz Factory. From Manchester, United Kingdom the Happy Mondays brought the "Madchester" sound to the Pacific Northwest touring on their second studio album Bummer. A historic and scarce poster featuring a trio of highly influential alternative rock groups.
