Item Description
24x36" on thin lightly coated stock produced before the show by promoter Donald K Donald (their logo in lower field) for promotion. DKD had a large marketing push to fill the huge Montreal- Olympic Stadium which included this graphic poster that helped lead to an 80,000 seat sell out concert on this the final night of the tour. Features text in English and French along w/an outstanding graphic of 'Aldie' the 40 foot inflatable pig floating above the stadium. Throughout the show a handful of raucous attendees near the stage were setting off fireworks and disrupting the band causing Roger Waters to address the crowd multiple times. Later in the evening during the song "Pigs (Three Different Ones)" an angry Waters spit on a teenage fan who attempted to climb on the stage. The incident would become the seed for the band's next album The Wall. Scattered edge wear and tiny 1/8" horizontal tears . Extremely Fine and will display NM once matted and framed.

Waters later recalled the incident saying "... I Spat My Frustration In His Face. Later That Night, Back At The Hotel, Shocked By My Behavior, I Was Faced With A Choice. To Deny My Addiction (To The Frills Of Our Popularity) And Embrace That Comfortably Numb Magic-Less Existence Or Accept The Burden Of Insight, Take The Road Less Traveled And Embark On The Often Painful Journey To Discover Who I Was And Where I Fit. The Wall Was The Picture I Drew For Myself To Help Me Make That Choice."
