13.5x17" mount. 7x8.25" albumen print. c. 1865. Collage of the congressmen who helped pass the 13th Amendment abolishing slavery. Lincoln is pictured at 6 o'clock w/Vice President Hamlin at 12 o'clock. The other 157 portraits are all the members of Congress who voted for the 13th amendment abolishing slavery. These were produced in a variety of sizes, this is the largest. Scattered trivial dots of toning on mount. Image has high contrast and excellent clarity. Exc. A superb example of this historic image.
