Item Description
Included are: parade sash, Uncle Sam top hat motif shirt jacket w/long tails, silk red and white striped pants, oil cloth cape w/applied album portrait, tin litho portrait button, and oil cloth hat w/parade torch at top. Clothing elements have signs of use w/separations, fraying and handling wear grading Good to VG. Tin litho 1892 pin-back attached to shirt jacket has only light wear, Exc. Hat has break in red band near center and wear from moderate use, Good. Cape has twenty silver metallic stars w/text "Protection" above the applied albumen portrait that has a horizontal tear that affects Harrison's image, overall VG. The overall wear and tear are largely to be expected of uniform of this era especially considering its intended use and travels over the past 125+ years and in many ways adds another layer to the air of authenticity capturing the spirit of American political campaigning around the turn of the century. A show stopping ensemble that becomes the linchpin conversation piece in any collection.
