Item Description
1". No maker indicated but w/union back stamp. Includes portraits of Thor and Hulk. Issued by Miami, FL NBC television station "WCKT Channel 7" for the first TV series based on Marvel characters. This station imprint variety was offered when kids joined Charlie Baxter's Super Heroes Club for the TV show called Super Heroes which aired the Marvel cartoon in 1966-1967. In total there were 65 half-hour episodes that ran initially in broadcast syndication from Sept. to Dec. 1966. Barely perceptible (upon close inspection) hairline celluloid separation between 6 and 8 o'clock that remains stable and likely occurred in manufacturing. Otherwise only faint surface wear seen in reflected light. For all intents and purposes button displays without issue. Bright, glossy and Exc. Among the rarest of all Marvel Comics buttons. This is the only example Hake's has ever offered. A must have for the Marvel collector- 'Nuff said.
