Item Description
22x24". Cotton, stitched at top and bottom. Listed by Collins in Threads of History as plate #593 on p. 258. Text at top reads "Protection To Home Industries." Name below portrait. Bottom side vignettes depict log cabin and Harrison on horseback leading military forces. Dynamic graphics of eagle at the top w/flags and stars surrounding portrait. Bright bold red accents. A 3" line of light aging to right of candidate's ear. Otherwise, only faint wear. Extremely Fine. Color is striking and appears to have never seen the light of day. Can be paired w/a similar matching Cleveland making it an ideal choice for collectors seeking a textile to represent the 1888 campaign.
