Item Description
36x48" poster linen mounted to 37.5x50". Produced by Edwards, Deutsch and Heitmann of Chicago. A scene of despair titled "1896 Result Of The Wilson Tariff Bill" featuring images of "Ruined American Industries" w/ships of foreign goods being unloaded at left. At center, Goddess Columbia w/banner reading "Republican Party" and shield "Protection/Sound Money" stands w/drawn sword pointing to a scene of prosperity and calm at top left titled "1892 Protection Under The McKinley Tariff Bill." Professional restoration to seal separations along now flattened fold lines, edge fills and scattered touch ups throughout. Technically VG but now displays Exc. and will frame beautifully. Only the second example known to us w/the other also having professional restoration. A dynamic display piece that will command the eye in any setting.
