Item Description
Original box w/illustrated lid contains 9" long tin litho friction Batmobile made in Japan by Sanka, c. 1966. Box has some scattered wear w/edge creases but remains VF for display purposes. Complete w/small cardboard ring insert around Batman driver's head. This is rwb version and features three-dimensional tin litho figure of Batman in cockpit w/separate tin litho head. Hood features full body image of Batman, both this and driver are depicted wearing red/blue instead of common gray/blue costume. Hood also features batsymbol w/"Batman" in Japanese text. Name appears again in batsymbols on doors of car and again (text only) on trunk. Lithography includes image of gun next to Batman driver. Small batsymbol sticker next to gun. Exc. w/working friction mechanism. Old store stock. Very rare as boxed.
