Item Description
Complete set of hollow ceramic figurines measuring 7.5" to 13" tall. Made in Mexico, 1940s. Snow White, Doc and Bashful have Mexican company mark on undersides while others (not including Sneezy) have "Made In Mexico" marks on undersides. Each figurine has painted name on side of foot (or on front of Snow White's base). Of note, all Dwarfs are depicted bare-headed as opposed to the typical depictions w/their hats. Snow White has paint chips to tips of fingers of outstretched hand and bottom of her ragged dress has broken point and 3/8x7/8" surface flake. VG. Sleepy has several cracks/breaks and has been repaired/reassembled w/open gap on side and piece of heel missing. Sleepy just comes along. Rest of Dwarfs show even aging and scattered wear and Bashful has moderate paint wear to arms, edge of beard and cheek. VG/Fine. Rest are Fine to VF. Very rare set, this the first we've seen of any of these Mexican figurines.
