Item Description
5.75x7.5" flattened display box for "8 Ready To Freeze Pasteurized Pop Bars" by General Foods Kitchens. Box advertises "Captain Action Card Game" premium offer, which was available for three Kool-Pops box tops. Premium was a deck of 33 playing cards w/three instruction cards. Cards feature various characters, including: Captain Action, Captain America, Buck Rogers, Spider-Man, Flash Gordon and The Phantom. Captain America, Spider-Man and Buck Rogers are pictured alongside Captain Action on this box. Issued in 1967. Box is near complete minus partial top panel/price area which was clipped to redeem offer. Otherwise box has lt. aging/wear and was neatly flattened when new. One end panel has a small bit of surface paper pulled on white area. Other than clipped panel, displays VF. Also includes 2.25x3.5" box w/mailing label containing complete deck of 33 playing cards plus three instruction cards. Cards feature various characters mentioned above. Cards appear unused but four Buck Rogers cards were in aged holders so there is some surface tackiness and wear. Overall VF. Box has moderate wear, mostly on label and is VG. This game is the actual deck received for the cut out proof panel from this actual Kool-Pops box. A true rarity for Captain Action collectors as well as Marvel Comics and Buck Rogers enthusiasts.
