Item Description
41x78.5" three sheet poster for the original release of the 1966 Universal horror comedy based on the classic 1964-1966 CBS TV show The Munsters. Poster features caricature images of stars Fred Gwynne, Yvonne DeCarlo, Al Lewis, Butch Patrick and replacement Marilyn Debbie Watson in front of castle scene. Smaller inset image of Herman, Grandpa and Lily racing Dragula, tractor and horse at lower right. Poster was originally folded and issued in two pieces and has since been linen-mounted and rolled. Poster has had scattered restoration, w/5x5" corner replaced at upper left, touch-ups to red title lettering. 1.75x5" piece at left margin (to left of Herman Munster's knees) and 1.75x3.5" piece at right (to right of Marilyn Munster's outstretched hand) have been replaced. Staple pulls at bottom left/right corners have also been filled in. Poster has some scattered staining at center left w/touch-up along fold line. Scattered restoration along fold lines and at fold crease intersections. Displays Fine as linen-mounted.
