Item Description
5/8" w/ W&H back paper. The Women's Christian Temperance Union was one of the largest temperance organizations in the country during the late 19th and early 20th century. In the 1928 election, they believed there was an obvious choice in the presidential election. Smith, the Democratic nominee was in favor of repealing the 18th Amendment, while Hoover was in favor of keeping the Prohibition Amendment intact. As a result, they fervently endorsed the latter candidate while condemning Smith. Only minor surface wear in reflected light. NM.
