Item Description
1.75" w/J. H. Shaw back paper and ribbon attached under spring pin. Design identical to the 1.25" found as Hake #25 but unlisted in this the largest variety. Magnificent design featuring a pair of draped American flags w/sunrise emanating from behind extending to top text "Republican Candidates". At center are oval portraits of candidates captioned w/full names and offices. For accuracy we note a tiny cello separation on reverse at 11 o'clock that occurred in manufacturing and a diagonal hairline scratch at center of field. Otherwise, moderate surface wear visible only in reflected light. Exc. One of only three known to us. The most colorful Harding button we have encountered and qualifying as among the very rarest w/the most recent public offering going back to our July 2014 sale at $8,349.
