Item Description
Large multicolor 2-1/8" with small tan mark on the W&H back paper- a rarely seen design variety. "Buckskin Charlie" appears on at least four buttons or double-sided cello fobs and not just for the Elks, but also the Redmen. This exceptionally large button for the era (1901) is the earliest we've seen and for gathering of "Colorado -New Mexico" Elks for their Fair and Carnival in Durango. Glossy and Exc. Our second seen and rare. Alan Weinberg Collection.
