Item Description
15.75x20.75" frame. 10.5x15.5" silk flag double matted. Listed in Threads of History as plate 738 on p. 305. The more impressive of only two 1896 McKinley flag designs listed in Herbert Collins' authored text. Featuring detailed portraits, striking color and trio of slogans "Protection/Sound Money/Prosperity." Three very tiny splits to top left margin visible under close inspection. But otherwise extremely clean w/vivid color and alluring display presence. Displays Exc. Not examined out of beautiful professional framing that utilizes TruVue glass blocking 99% of UV rays. This is one of only three examples known to us w/the others each having notable condition issues. An important opportunity to obtain likely the finest specimen extant.
