Item Description
1.75" dia. and .5" thick cello. canteen w/open top. Bright and clean images of McKinley and Roosevelt in Whitehead & Hoag button design. Reverse features US flag. Original brass loops hold strap. As is typical, missing original tiny lid. Extremely Fine. A well-made novelty that was likely offered as a souvenir at GAR Conventions. The 1900 Republican ticket saw overwhelming support from GAR members helping them to a decisive victory at the poles.
