Item Description
2-3/8" long fully 3-D cast iron turtle with touches of original green paint plus a celluloid shell held on the top by a pair of brass tabs seen from the underside. Most of these very popular and scarce turtle paperweights feature cello shells in shades of brown/tan and the green of this shell is quite rare. Cello surface has about six tiny pinpoint holes barely breaking the surface and a couple of tiny 1/32" to 1/16" nicks but seen only on closest viewing. Issued by Glen Cove, NY company. VF. Rare.
