Item Description
1.75" with maker name W&H stamped on the tin back covering with a horizontal pin. No school name but likely from Philadelphia and very few in that series have a date prior to this one. In fact, in Hud Baer's (who we thank for useful information on this series) collection there is only one earlier button showing Little King dated for 1936. We've seen only one other example and that had obvious staining. While the creamy, pale gray background on this varies slightly in tone there is no obvious stain. Very limited issue as the graduating class in Feb. 1939 could not have been large. High gloss and VF. Rare.
