Item Description
10x19.5x6" deep box contains 13.5" tall hard plastic figure w/large, 38" wingspan. Mattel, ©1979 Toho Co. Ltd. and part of Mattel's famed "Shogun Warriors" toyline although the Shogun name does not appear on box. Box lists features - "Giant Flying Creature! Wings Flap! He Squawks! Claws Grab Like A Sky Hook! Beak Can Carry Small Objects!" and "Wingspan 38 Inches!" Color photo label on front of box. Box shows moderate aging/wear, w/soiling on back and one small drip stain. Scattered corner tip and edge wear w/a small gouge on one side panel. Small edge tear at end flap. No inserts. VG overall. Box is rare. Lt. aging/wear to toy. Back has two tabs (to hold on back plate) broken and missing but stays in place w/large wings. Claws have some scattered paint rubs and replaced rubber bands but Rodan o/w remains bright, clean and VF for display. Scarce 1970s toy.
