Item Description
5.5x7" folder w/application panel, membership card and spaces for placing eight Superman Pledge Stamps acquired from bread cards. For 1941 Superman Junior Defense League of America club promotion issued by various bread companies. Folder is unused w/no stamps applied. Folder front has even glue staining to majority of "Application For Membership" panel but is o/w clean. Fine/VF overall w/perforated piece intact. Rare. Comes w/1-1/8" tall die-cut brass premium badge awarded for submitting folder complete w/stickers to the sponsoring bread company. While the design is similar to the badges used for bubblegum and milk premiums, on those the flag reads "Superman American" whereas this reads "Superman Junior Defense League." This is the rarer of the pieces. Badge retains nearly 100% paint and much luster. Exc.
