Item Description
2-1/8" w/back paper reading in part "The Hearnly Medallion Designed By E.C. Deacon" and "From Suggestion Of Patriotism/Prosperity By Hon. Chas. S. Hernly, Chairman Indiana Republican State Committee." Left side of design features a graveyard accented by American flag and golden sunburst on the horizon w/text "Our Dead Lie Buried In The Sands Of The Luzon. No Foreign Flag Shall There Salute The Dawn." Right side has a street scene w/a parade of happy workers carrying dinner pails and text "The People Will Not Vote Themselves Into The Poor House Twice In Eight Years." The "Eight Years" is a reference to the election of Cleveland in 1892. Two tiny and trivial cello separations along collet that remain tight and occurred in manufacturing. Otherwise only minor wear in reflected light. Exc. as made. Superb color and full gloss make this a standout. John Pendergrass Collection.
