Lot of 120 cards in total, issued in 1941 as two different sets. Cards 1-96 were simply titled "Uncle Sam" while the extended set, numbered 97-144, was titled "Uncle Sam's Home Defense (see wrapper, next lot). ACC#'s R157 & R158. This lot includes the complete set of 96 first series cards and #s 97-120 of the high number cards. Choice color art fronts, text backs. The first 96 cards focus on military personnel, vehicles and equipment while the higher number cards focus on the war effort of the home front. Typical lt. aging/age tone but an overall clean set with no significant issues. Generally an EX set.
