Item Description
.75" to 1". All have light to moderate surface wear in reflected light. Exc. to NM. The progressive Republican from Idaho challenged Taft's policy after taking his Senate seat in 1907 and later opposed the Treaty of Versailles working to see that the Senate did not ratify it keeping the US out of the League of Nations. He archived maverick status within the GOP often sparring w/Coolidge and Hoover over policy. He sought the 1936 GOP Presidential nomination but his well earned maverick status kept many prominent Republicans from supporting him. This collection of 1936 hopeful buttons was patiently built over a lifetime w/all being uncommon to rare.
