Item Description
53.25x48.5" frame contains linen-mounted one-sheet poster for original release of the 1953 Donald Duck animated short Canvas Back Duck (a clever gag playing on boxing ring canvas and the canvasback duck), starring Donald, his nephews and Pegleg Pete (appearing here as Pee Wee Pete, w/both feet). Poster shows all main characters, w/Donald in the boxing ring w/Pete as Huey, Dewey and Louie watch from the ropes. Carnival setting is visible in bkg. Poster was originally folded as distributed by RKO. Poster is evenly aged at margins and has had some minor color touch-ups along fold lines and at fold crease intersections. Displays Exc. as framed and about as nice as they come. Classic Donald Duck poster that rarely comes up for sale. Due to size and/or weight of this item, shipping charges may be substantial. Please contact us w/any shipping inquiries prior to close of auction. The poster can also be removed from the frame and shipped rolled in a tube should the winning bidder so desire.
