Item Description
8.5x11", 16-page The Indianapolis Times newspaper supplement for the week of July 19, 1964. This supplement was just over two months prior to The Munsters' debut (which was Sept. 24, 1964), making it one of the earliest promotional pieces issued for the show. Front cover spotlights photo image of Yvonne De Carlo as Lily Munster, surrounded by specialty horror art, featuring Frankenstein, pit and the pendulum, etc. Front cover has "Yvonne de Carlo - A New Mother Image" tagline. Inside from cover has blurb about the upcoming "Sick Situation Comedy" debuting in the Fall of 1964 (mentioned alongside The Addams Family). That is the extent of Munsters coverage, but publication also features photos of Andy Griffith, Don Knotts, Patty Duke, Willie Mays, Elvis and more as well as Antionette Bower and Richard Baseheart in The Twilight Zone. Supplement is evenly aged and has some scattered handling wear w/pinch creases to spine. Pages have evenly aged and front cover has spot of staining at upper left. VF overall. Rare and historic Munsters item and the first we've offered in our 55 years.
