Lot of 5 pieces from this very popular 1930s promotion sponsored by various bread companies. First is the scrapbook itself which is 4x6". 48 pages. Six different recipe picture cards have been mounted. Most of these are worn/aged, however book itself remains a clean copy with just light aging. Reverse has imprint of "Bell Bread." VF. Comes with original mailing envelope. Envelope reverse has some tape residue and surface paper wear from being scrapbook mounted. Front of envelope has trace of rust from the metal closure tab but o/w remains clean and without a mailing label. Front displays VF. Next is 3.5x5.5" postcard which was to be sent in to receive the scrapbook. Reverse has imprint of "Peter Pan Bread." Lightly aged, front partially filled out in pencil. VF. Next is a two-sided store owner's flier with fully opened size of 18x25". This has been mounted to a larger sheet of red cardboard. As such, the graphics on the reverse are lost and piece would be damaged if removed, however the more graphic side is what is visible as mounted. Top reads "Here Is How To Bring More Customers Into Your Store." Includes illustrations of a bread loaf, the scrapbook, and picture cards promotional signs and displays. Light margin wear. Still VF and Rare. Final item is 18x25" heavy paper stock store sign (shown on the promotional folder) and this has been linen-mounted. Superb large image of Mickey holding loaf of bread with band wrapped around it promoting the scrapbook. An example picture card is shown at the lower right with text "A New Picture Card Every Day With Every Loaf." Has scattered wear along fold lines and margins including a number of tears 1" or so that have been repaired as mounted including some color touch-ups. Other light aging mostly to margins but sign retains a bright appearance with strong and vibrant color. Still displays Fine. This sign is rare and on its own is listed in The Official Price Guide To Disney Collectibles By Ted Hake at $1,400 in Fine.
