Item Description
3.5x2x3.5" egg w/pull string below. Metal rooster on top shows support for Cleveland, while the egg reads "Simon Long One-Price Clothier, Wilkes Barre, PA". Metal has some wear and minor loss of lettering, but the slogan can still be read clearly. Paint on wood has cracks throughout, w/a tiny chip on the back side that cannot be seen when displayed. Fine. User meant to pull bottom string to hide the rooster, then release to show the bird and its message. Still working. A scarce and unusual 3-D item supporting the only president to serve non-consecutive terms. Bill Hoffman Collection.
