Item Description
1.25" w/W&H back paper. Perhaps the ultimate classic campaign button design w/oval portraits of candidates framed in elephant's ears and the "O" of "GOP" encircled by its trunk. A tiny 1/32" indentation at 1 o'clock just right of "1908" that just barely breaks through the cello. Otherwise only minor surface wear in reflected light. Extremely Fine. A perfectly centered and vibrant example that makes for an eye-popping element in any riker display. Postcards of the era indicate this design was to pair w/the Bryan & Kern Clean Sweep jugate found in this sale, lot #142.
