Item Description
20.75x26.5" die-cut cardboard counter standee w/easel back shows various Whitman books, c. 1953. "Books For Children" text block at center surrounded by coloring/paperdoll books for Bugs Bunny, Howdy Doody, Lone Ranger, Hopalong Cassidy, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, Alice in Wonderland and more. Heavy corner tip wear at bottom w/scattered edge wear and moderate dust soiling at upper left. VG. overall. We have seen three different Whitman displays like this and are offering two of the three in this auction (see previous lot). All are rare.
