Item Description
7x10" stat paper sheets w/copy of art to Marvel Tales Vol. 2 #197-198 (Marvel, March 1987), the two part story featuring The Amazing Spider-Man, Iron Fist and Daughters of the Dragon (Misty Knight and Colleen Wing) versus Steel Serpent by John Byrne from Marvel Team-Up #63-64 (1977) that are hand-colored as color guides for the published reprint issue. Complete 34 story pages. Classic storyline "Night of the Dragon" and "If Death Be My Destiny..." by Chris Claremont with art by John Byrne/Dave Hunt. Color artist on reprint issues was Andy Yanchus. Marvel Tales at top margin in pen and marked up w/new color break notations. Color guides are new to 1987 comic reprint issue. Lt. aging/handling wear and some tiny edge tears but overall clean. Pages may have cut in panels and corrections as part of the creative process. Overall displays VF. From The Archives of Colorist Andy Yanchus.
