Item Description
1-5/8" (42mm). White metal. Oval portraits of candidates w/last names above and flanking flags. At the top an eagle holds ribbon reading "Freedom To All Men." Reverse has large rim text "Republican Candidates 1864" w/center text "For President Abraham Lincoln Of Illinois For Vice President Andrew Johnson Of Tennessee." Minor edge wear and only faint surface wear under magnification. Nice reflective surfaces and sharp details.Exc. A superb example of this always popular 1864 medal.
