Item Description
2.25" by J. B. Carroll, Chicago w/100% silvering intact. This is earliest known pocket mirror issued shortly after R.F. Outcault licensed his characters  to the company. Wonderful full figures of Buster and Tige with Buster proudly displaying the shoe and Tige posing with box and holding the lid with his paws. The sponsor area on this one (also see next one from Alabama) reads "For Duplicate Send 4¢ Stamps/To The Buster Brown Shoe Co. St. Louis, Mo.". This company issued example is quite scarce as most versions name a specific dealer across the USA. Faint 1/8" darker mark left of Buster's hat and small bumps noticeable to touch mostly on right edge 1-3 o'clock. Brilliant color and great gloss. Exc. Scarce. Alan Weinberg Collection.
