Item Description
8.5x11" paper sheets w/copy of art for X-Men #101 (Marvel, October 1976) featuring the New X-Men by Dave Cockrum that are hand-colored as color guides for the published reprint hard cover book. Complete 17 original story pages. No cover. Classic Bronze Age New X-Men storyline "Like A Phoenix, From The Ashes" by Chris Claremont with art by Dave Cockrum. Color artist was Andy Yanchus. Three hole punch pages have Marvel Masterworks X-Men stamped at top and marked up w/color break notations. Story color guides are original to August 1990 reprint as Marvel Masterworks #12 that reprinted issues #101-110. Slight wrinkling from being colored, lt. aging/handling wear and some tiny edge tears but overall clean. Pages may have cut in panels and corrections as part of the creative process.
