Item Description
8.5x11" paper sheets w/copy of art for the Avengers Vol. 1 #21-22 (Marvel, 1965) featuring early appearances of The Avengers and the first appearance of Power Man (Erik Josten) by Don Heck that are hand-colored as color guides for the published reprint hard cover Marvel Masterworks books. Both have complete 20 story pages and covers. Silver Age Avengers storylines: "The Bitter Taste of Defeat!" and "The Road Back" by Stan Lee with art by Don Heck & Wally Wood. Color artist on reprint issues was Andy Yanchus. Paper pages w/"Marvel Masterworks Avengers 27" written/stamped at top and marked up w/new color break notations. Used in Marvel Masterworks #27 that reprinted The Avengers #21-30 (February 1994). Lt. aging/handling wear and overall clean. Overall displays VF. From The Archives of Colorist Andy Yanchus.
