Item Description
11x14" on cardstock. Holed at the top as made. Produced by O. M. Sales, in Chicago. Made for the Republican National Convention in Chicago. Shows three different handkerchief pocket squares supporting different GOP contenders. In order from left to right: Douglas MacArthur, Robert Taft, and Dwight Eisenhower. Above the pocket squares, text reads "Put Me In Your Handkerchief Pocket, Pick Your Favorite Candidate For President." The Taft square has a jovial portrait image of the candidates, while the other two squares have a cartoon GOP elephant on them. Display has even toning and scattered creasing. Significant wear, most notably around the edges, as well as some scattered edge chips and tears. Otherwise scattered staining on the cardstock and the pocket squares. Good. First we've seen in our 55 years. An excellent piece highlighting the key Republican figures vying for the presidency in 1952. John Pendergrass Collection.
