Item Description
7x11" w/silver-painted wooden frame. Features painted image of FDR on a donkey chasing Herbert Hoover on an elephant w/a monkey on his back. Features the U.S. Capitol in the background w/a snake and a skunk at the bottom right of the image under the elephant's feet, symbolizing the beleaguered Hoover on his way out of the White House, being replaced by a jovial and energetic FDR. Tiny puncture in the front of the frame from nail on the back from the hanger. Otherwise only minor wear on the frame and the glass panel. On the back, some of the fasteners missing, resulting in a looseness on top right corner. Frame easily repaired or replaced. Glass panel Exc. An unusual cartoon depiction of the 1932 campaign.
