Item Description
1.25" w/Levin Bros. (Terre Haute, IN) back paper. Made for an event on June 15, 1936, in which Eleanor Roosevelt visited Grayville, IL at a four-county reception for the dedication of the George Rogers Clark Memorial. According to the Daily Republican Register (Mount Carmel, IL), approximately 25,000 attended the dedication, and the First Lady was the "perfect hostess." The button has blue and red ribbon attached, and is just a touch off center. Otherwise only light surface wear seen in reflected light. Exc. as made. Larry Brokofsky Collection.
