Auction 191 - Part I
Item numbers 1 though 954 in auction 191
Item Description
Oval-shaped heavy pewter medal 3.5x5x5" tall. The lid handle is a three dimensional "ugly head" likeness of Jackson. The head is the same shape and size of those found on Jackson walking canes of the era. Container is complete with separate oval metal plate with handle which fits snuggly into the open interior. The metal surfaces of the plate and container interior have white hard coating from use and age but exterior surfaces are clean with minor wear from use but no damage. Only example we've seen, but we've been told of another example in some southern museum collection. Rare.
