Item Description
11.5x16.5" artboard has mixed media original art by prolific and renowned Spanish Comics cover artist Rafael López Espí. Cover is a commissioned recreation of the original done by Espí and originally published in La Masa Vol.3 #40, which reprints Incredible Hulk #181-182 (featuring the first appearance of Wolverine) in Spanish by Len Wein w/art by Herb Trimpe. Published in Spain c. 1979 Marvel Comics Group. Artboard has been hand-painted w/art a near direct copy of Espí's original cover w/classic image of Incredible Hulk vs. Wolverine vs. Wendigo. Back of artboard has handwritten inscription and dated 2021 beside Espí Studio sticker. Art is bright and clean and has white border. Art is Exc. A wonderful example from the master of Spanish comic book covers, featuring two of Marvel's most popular characters and is signed at lower left front by artist. Superb and dynamic cover art. Comes w/reading copy of the Spanish comic this cover art was based on.
