Item Description
1.5" beautifully colored and designed button complete with its totally clean reverse back paper by Bastian. Button is titled "The Happy Daisy Boy" with additional text denoting "'Honorable Mention' Daisy Letter Contest 1914." A very rare button given only to a small select group of contest entrants. Our fourth example in 2018 was NM and realized $2,596. Visually, this example is a close equal. Cello has very minor surface wear in reflected light. Tiniest trace of tone on the extreme cream edge from 10-12 o'clock. The button is certainly high gloss and Exc. Rare and a holy grail in the guns and ammunition pin-back category.
