Item Description
This 1973 historic 2.5" tennis match button is a promotion issued by and reading "On Your Local ABC-TV Station Thurs., Sept 20". There is a matched button w/male symbol issued for and naming Bobby Riggs but this is the button for the victor in the Houston Astrodome, Billie Jean King. Originally the only example in the Marshall Levin Collection, and the only example known to us. This photo example used (page 160) for Button Power: 125 Years Of Saying It With Buttons by Christen Carter and Ted Hake. NM. Comes w/Hake's COA.
