Item Description
2-1/8" w/text "Send 15 Cents For Duplicate To F.F. Harl, St. Joseph, MO." on curl. W&H back paper. A smiling "Taft" w/big stick labeled "TR-ism" in hand riding an elephant kicking up dust clouds as he outpaces "Bryan" whose donkey is huffing and puffing in background. Far left is a pavilion that has rooftop pennant "Voters." Tiny dig that barely breaks through the cello on the back side of the elephant that blends well w/design and is barely seen. Otherwise scattered faint spots along the extreme outer edges and light surface wear. Extremely Fine. Bob Westerman Collection. An infrequently offered 1908 Taft item.
