Item Description
1.25" w/horizontal bar pin. "Souvenir" of the Midwest event on "Oct. 18 And 19. 1898." Captioned at top "Who Did It?" and picturing Dewey, Roosevelt, Schley, McKinley and Sec. of the Navy Long. Vignettes at bottom left and right feature warship firing on the Spanish "Manila May 1st 1898/Santiago July 3rd 98" and TR standing w/raised American flag and saber urging his troops onward "Santiago July 17th 1898." Tiny tight cello separation on back along collet at 6 o'clock that is stable and does not affect display. Otherwise some minor fading, particularly on the left edge of the button, which is very common for this design. Still Exc. Bob Westerman Collection.
