Item Description
4.25x6.5" mount. Reverse has later pencil notation and imprint of photographer "Clendenan & Nichols, Jacksonville, Illinois." At 15 Bryan went to private school at Whipple Academy followed by Illinois College, both institutions in Jacksonville, IL. He then studied law at Chicago Union Law College, now Northwestern. This youthful portrait of the "Boy Orator Of The Platte" captures Bryan around the time of his law school studies and is the first we have encountered in our 55 years. Minor edge wear and scattered age. Extremely Fine. Comes w/original album page w/early ink notation below.
