Item Description
Lot of three of 10x12" animation sheets featuring pencil original art w/colored pencil accents from 1938 Silly Symphony featuring caricatures of many Hollywood celebrities of the day. Art shows Hugh Herbert as Old King Cole. Drawing No. 20B w/7x7.25" image features Herbert clapping his hands (no crown). Drawings No. 29 and 32 have approx. 5.25x7" images and both show Herbert as Old King Cole, complete w/crown. Scattered production notes by art and at margins. Sheets have lt. aging/handling but are clean w/Exc. art. Comes w/10x12.5" studio-used model sheet (an important part of the animation process), showing two different full images of Herbert as Old King Cole as well as six different head models. Aged tape at corners and bottom center margin w/pin holes at top and bottom left corners. Fine.
