Item Description
Lot for four 10x12" animation sheets featuring pencil original art w/colored pencil accents from 1938 Silly Symphony featuring caricatures of many Hollywood celebrities of the day. Two drawings feature Cab Calloway w/his band while the other two feature members of his band on their own. Drawing No. 50A is conceptual in nature and shows Cab directing his band in frenetic nature. Drawing No. 50B features final production drawing of same scene. Both sheets feature nearly full page art and both sheets are evenly aged w/some handling wear. VF overall. Drawing No. 344 w/4.5x4.5" image shows two band members, one w/trombone, other w/saxophone. Drawing No. 428 w/5.25x5-3/8" image shows three band members, one clapping, one w/trumpet and other w/saxophone. Sheets have lt. aging/handling but are clean w/Exc. art.
