Item Description
13x24" thin cardboard poster for Dec. 11, 1971 concert at the Charlotte Coliseum in Charlotte, NC. This concert was scheduled just six weeks after guitarist Duane Allman died in a motorcycle accident. The band had quickly shot a new publicity photo taken (mirroring an earlier publicity photo), as seen on this poster. Bassist Berry Oakley is pictured, although he, too, would tragically pass away in a motorcycle accident the following year. Concert also featured Wet Willie and was produced by Electric Factory Concerts. Poster has small crease at bottom left corner and some small scattered age spots along bottom and lower left margins. Still VF overall and could be framed for a nice display. Poster captures a moment in time between two tragedies that struck this legendary Southern rock band.
