Item Description
1.75x5". The Union Labor Party was a short-lived political party in between the Greenbacks of the mid-1880s and the Populist Party of the 1890s. It was anti-monopoly, supported women's suffrage, the free coinage of silver, the direct election of senators, a graduated income tax, and public ownership of railroads and other transportation. The Union Labor Party only received about 1% of the vote in 1888 and finished in fourth place. Ribbon featuring the names of the nominees has some minor fraying at the top, about a dozen tiny pinpricks scattered at the top and faint scattered staining that is barely seen. VF. A scarce third party item from the 1888 campaign.
