Item Description
Herb Aptheker was the New York Peace and Freedom Party candidate for Congress in New York's 12th Congressional District. Long-time Communist and anti-War activist, Aptheker ran on his support for ending the Vietnam war. Separations along collet that occurred in manufacturing. Otherwise only light wear. Technically VF but displaying above grade. Aptheker was blacklisted in the 1950s and traveled w/Tom Hayden to Hanoi in the 1960s.
